Nationals FC Represents at Gold Cup

by Coach Jason July 21 2009 17:37

Nationals FC was representing for the first ever soccer game at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. We wore our Nationals FC blue in a sea of green as Mexico defeated Haiti 4-0 in front of over 82,000 fans at the Gold Cup tournament. The stadium was first class and the giant HD screen over the field was bigger than you could imagine but I still prefer the pitch at Pizza Hut Park. Dallas Cowboys Stadium doesn't quite feel like a soccer stadium but it does provide an exciting atmosphere when packed to capacity.

Nationals FC 2000 Boys Win 3v3 Summer Splash Tournament in The Colony, TX

by Coach Jason July 13 2009 01:20

The Nationals FC 2000 boys participated in the 3v3 Summer Splash tournament held at Blue Sky Sports Center in The Colony, TX. They competed in the combined U9/U10 division and finished with a perfect 5-0 record to win the tournament. Although the heat was bearing down it didn't affect their will to win. They overcame the heat as well as being down by goals in several games to come back and win. We had some great combination play, outstanding individual skill and some great shots at goal. You'll see one header goal near the middle of the video from a cross by Nick that was perfectly executed into the back of the net by Fabian. It was a beautiful day with some beautiful soccer.

All 6 players gave an outstanding effort and played with inspiration. Participating players were Dylan, Cole, Nick, Fabian, Jake and Kameron. Congratulations to the 2000 boys for another great 3v3 tournament.
